I remember an ahh hah moment, in my mid-20’s when I sat in front of a corporate executive. Thankfully, he was also a friend. When, he offered me a fireball candy. Tossing it in my mouth until the heat was too much. Quickly, I plucked it out of my mouth to blow on it as I had always done. This time however I was met with a crazy glare and a “What are you doing?” which took me by surprise. He snapped me back into reality as I explained, justifying my sanity or lack there of at the time. You see, when I was 4 we used to go to the candy store and this was mom’s advice. Made sense at the time, so I just kept doing it. That was until someone pointed out differently.

Where have you turned up your heat, just going through the motions, reacting or worse creating an unnecessary crisis as you go about the day?

  • Dieting.. Lulling you into a false sense of health as you wage war on your body.
  • Resolutions.. Short bursts of progress until every-day life gets in the way.
  • Time Management.. Focus on doing more today instead of supporting growth & future ideals.
  • Health.. Fading resource you painfully earn the right to keep instead of a birthright that supports you.
  • Responsibility.. Enabling others to slack off or drop the ball and a distraction of living the live you’re meant for.

I was no longer connected to the process of what I was doing and blindly went on as I had always done until someone pointed out how what I was doing made absolutely no sense.

What daily habits and personal care routines are you wasting your time without even questioning if it’s the right thing to do for you, or if there’s an easier or updated solution? Wonder how much time, effort and energy you put into things that can be achieved in a much simpler fashion.
